March 27, 2008

Sheriff WILLIAM P. MULLEN announces that apprehension of Christopher Shuker, 27 years of age from Oakdale, Pennsylvania.  Shuker was wanted on two Criminal Bench Warrants that were issued in July of 2007 for Probation/Parole Violation and Absconded on two separate cases.  The original charges were Burglary, Theft By Unlawful Taking, Access Device Fraud, Criminal Conspiracy, Theft, and Receiving Stolen Property.

Allegheny County Sheriff William Mullen credits a partnership with Comcast to track down the county's 10 most wanted fugitives.

A viewer of "Fugitive Files on Demand" that features photographs and descriptions of the most wanted fugitives, telephoned a “tip” to Deputies of the Allegheny County Sheriffs’ Office Fugitive Investigations.  The viewers “tip” led Deputies to Butler County.  Today at 2:40pm Detectives provided information to Butler City Police who apprehended Shuker exiting a residence on Euclaire Street in the City of Butler.

The Partnership between the Allegheny County Sheriffs’ Office and Comcast started a week ago and it is already producing results.  The program is available to all Comcast On-Demand customers with just a click of their remote.

Shuker was taken to the Allegheny County Jail where he will be held with out bond until such time he is brought before the court to answer to these charges.
