FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

May 21, 2008

Sheriff WILLIAM P. MULLEN announces the apprehension of Scott Peter Millington, 42, of Glassport. Fugitive Millington was recently featured as one of Allegheny County’s Ten Most Wanted on Comcast Cable’s On-Demand. Millington has several active cases and has been wanted since November of 2007 for failing to appear for formal arraignment for charges that include Burglary, Possession of a Controlled Substance (2 Counts), and Driving Under the Influence. There were three active Criminal Bench Warrants for fugitive Millington and he is on probation/parole in both Washington and Westmoreland Counties. Deputies received information from a Comcast customer that the actor was taking refuge at a home located in the 400 Block of Oregon Street in Glassport. Deputies along with the assistance of Glassport Police, immediately acted on this information. After Deputies surrounded the residence, Millington attempted to escape through a rear door. Millington was unsuccessful in his efforts as Deputies at the rear of the house closed in and made the arrest. Millington was taken into custody without incident and will be lodged in the Allegheny County Jail.

Due to the astounding success of the Ten Most Wanted list posted on Comcast’s On-Demand, Sheriff William P. Mullen met with the management at Comcast and collectively decided to create Allegheny County’s 20 most wanted. These changes have already been instituted and can be accessed at Comcast Cable’s On-Demand.
