Sheriff WILLIAM P. MULLEN is pleased to announce the arrest of Angelo Vaughn, 39 years of age from the Sharpsburg section of Allegheny County.  Vaughn was wanted on five (5) separate bench warrants that were issued by the Family Division of the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas.  Vaughn failed to appear for proceedings related to child support matters and was subsequently placed on the Sheriff's Office list of "Non-Support Most Wanted" fugitives, owing nearly $175,000 in back child support (www.sheriffalleghenycounty.com).

Detectives from the Investigations Division of the Sheriff's Office that were assigned to this case, developed and confirmed information that Vaughn was residing in a first floor apartment on 8th Street in Sharpsburg.  On Wednesday morning, Sheriff's Detectives assisted by Sharpsburg Police, entered the residence and found Vaughn hiding in the basement.  He was placed under arrest without incident and transported to the Allegheny County Jail to await his hearing.
