       Sheriff William P. Mullen announces the apprehension of Jesse Engram, 19 years old, from the East Liberty area of Pittsburgh. Engram was wanted for Criminal Homicide in connection with the shooting death of Korey Johnson. This homicide occurred on September 22, 2008 in the 7700 block of Penn Avenue in Pittsburgh. Sheriff’ Deputies were assisting the City of Pittsburgh Police in their efforts to apprehend Engram.

       Since late last evening these deputies and Pittsburgh Homicide detectives had been working with Engram’s family members to assist in his surrender. This evening at approximately 5:45 p.m. Engram’s family members brought him to the Sheriff’s Office and surrendered him to deputies. Engram was then turned over to Pittsburgh Police Major Crimes Unit to be processed on his warrant. Engram will be arraigned later this evening at the Pittsburgh Municipal Courts Building located on First Avenue.
