Allegheny County Sheriff William P. Mullen announces the apprehension of Raymond H. Mallory, 31 years of age, originally from the Stanton Heights section of the City of Pittsburgh.  Mallory was wanted on 5 bench warrants involving 5 separate cases that were issued in May of 2008, by the Family Division of the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas.  Mallory failed to appear for hearings related to child support matters owing nearly $108,000.00 in arrearages.  He was subsequently place on the sheriff’s office list of “Most Wanted” offenders when immediate efforts to locate him had failed.

On Thursday, October 23, 2008, Detectives from the sheriff’s office concluded an extensive investigation, when they managed to track Mallory to a residence in the Borough of Bellevue.  Sheriff’s deputies assisted by the Bellevue police, gained entry into the home and found Mallory in a third floor bedroom.  He was placed under arrest without incident and transported to the Allegheny County Jail where he will await his hearing.

In addition, sheriff’s deputies extradited Michael J. Veneziale from the state of New Mexico, where authorities, acting on information provided by members of the fugitive task force, apprehended him on a criminal bench warrant that was issued in February of 2008, by the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas.  Veneziale, 40 years of age, from the Borough of Bellevue, failed to appear in court on charges of aggravated assault and resisting arrest.  Veneziale was also actively being sought on another bench warrant that was issued in January of 2008 by the Family Division of the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas.  He had failed to make a court appearance on matters related to child support, owing nearly $127,000.00 in arrearages.  Veneziale had been placed on the on the sheriff’s office “Most Wanted” list after it was learned that he had fled the state. He is currently in the Allegheny County Jail.
