November 28, 2008

Sheriff William P. Mullen announces the apprehension of Deanna Marie Marple, 24 years old, from the City of Clairton. Marple was wanted for failing to appear in court on October 8, 2008. Marple was scheduled to appear in court on the original charges of 2 counts of Robbery. These charges stem from an alleged incident in Munhall. Marple is accused on entering a Subway restaurant in Munhall in July of 2007 and committing these crimes. During this alleged robbery Marple supposedly stated to a Subway employee that she had a gun in her purse. Marple is accused of attempting to open the cash register but was unable to do so. The Subway employee then exited the restaurant and called police. While the employee was waiting for the police to arrive Marple ran out the back door of the restaurant.  When Munhall Police arrived on the scene they found the Subway employee holding Marple to the ground. Marple was released from jail on a 10,000-dollar bond.

This evening Sheriff’s Deputies received information that Marple was staying at a residence located in the 400 block of Wylie Avenue also in the City of Clairton. This information was provided to them from a Clairton Police Officer. This officer received this information from a Comcast viewer who recognized her from the Fugitive Files segment. Marple was featured on The Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office “20 Most Wanted“ website and also with their partnership with Comcast “On Demand”. This Clairton Police Officer immediately notified the Sheriff’s Office and both agencies went to this address and apprehended Marple. Marple was arrested without incident. Marple will be held for the time being in the Allegheny County Jail without bond.
