PITTSBURGH, PA - Sheriff William P. Mullen announces the apprehension Daniel Mark Malone Sr., 45 years old, from Northside. Malone was wanted on two separate criminal bench warrants. On the first warrant, Malone failed to appear in court on November 17, 2009 on the charges of Burglary, Theft By Unlawful Taking, and Receiving Stolen Property. These charges stem from an incident in which Malone is accused of burglarizing his former next-door neighbor’s house in Millvale in August of last year. The second warrant for Malone was for violating the conditions of his Probation/Parole from a 2008 conviction for Possession with the Intent to Deliver Drugs. In this case Port Authority Police arrested Malone for selling drugs outside of the LRV Subway Station on Wood Street. Malone was placed on the Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office “Most Wanted” website last week.

This evening sheriff’s deputies received an anonymous e-mail tip that Malone, who was previously living in Millvale, was now residing in Northside. The tipster stated that Malone was living in a house located in the 1400 block of Firth Street, in the Spring Garden section of Northside. Sheriff’s deputies immediately went to this residence and found Malone hiding underneath a shelf in a first floor room. Malone was then apprehended without incident. Malone was then lodged in the Allegheny County Jail where he will be held without bond.
