PITTSBURGH, PA - Sheriff William P. Mullen announces the apprehension Brad McClelland, 18 years old, from Robinson Township. McClelland was wanted in connection with charges filed against him this past Saturday. In the criminal compliant filed by Robinson Twp. Police it is alleged that McClelland fired several shots into the air with a pistol. It is further alleged that McClelland then turned the pistol towards himself and fired a shot over his own shoulder almost striking himself in the face. McClelland also allegedly threatened to kill himself in front of police during this incident. McClelland had fled the scene of this incident before police arrived. Robinson Twp. Police then obtained a warrant for McClelland charging him with Carrying a Firearm Without a License, Recklessly Endangering Another Person, Possession of a Weapon, and Disorderly Conduct. Since the time of this incident police had received information that McClelland still had a firearm in his possession and that he was now threatening to shoot at least two separate Robinson Twp. Police Officers along with his ex-girlfriend and himself. Sheriff’s deputies have been working with Robinson Twp. Police since yesterday attempting to apprehend McClelland. McClelland had just been placed on the Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office “Most Wanted” website today.

This evening sheriff’s deputies along with Robinson Twp. Police received information that McClelland was hiding at a residence located in the 3100 block of Santiago Road in Imperial. These officers along with both North Fayette and Findley Twp. Police went to this residence to apprehend McClelland. Upon arrival at this location these officers learned that McClelland along with one of the occupants of this address had left shortly before the arrival of police. These officers then set up surveillance of this address and at approximately 11:45 p.m., they did observe the vehicle turn in to the driveway of this residence. As McClelland exited the vehicle he was told by police to lie down on the ground. McClelland did refuse these commands and attempted to flee on foot. After an officer deployed his Taser, McClelland was apprehended without further incident. He was then transported to the Allegheny County Jail where he will be arraigned sometime later today.
