PITTSBURGH, PA - Sheriff William P. Mullen is asking for the public’s assistance in regards to a crime committed at the Allegheny County Courthouse between February 1 and 2, while the courts were closed. In this incident, graffiti was spray painted on the wall outside of the Ross Street entrance to the courthouse, in what appears to be a threat against a Judge.
Since the time of this crime, Sheriff’s deputies have been reviewing hours of video surveillance from almost a dozen cameras in or around the courthouse. Through the course of this investigation, these deputies have discovered a photo of a potential witness seen in the vandalized area during the time period in which they believe the crime took place. Deputies would like to interview this individual in regards to this matter. Anyone recognizing the person featured in this picture is asked to contact the Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office at 412-350-4714.
