PITTSBURGH, PA - Sheriff William P. Mullen announces the apprehension of Nakia Victoria Goodwine, 36 years old, from the Beltzhoover section of Pittsburgh.  Goodwine was wanted for violating the conditions of her probation/parole.  Goodwine was charged on November 30, 2005 with Robbery- Inflict Serious Bodily Injury and Criminal Conspiracy.  Goodwine later pled guilty to those charges.  On July 14, 2011, a bench warrant was issued for her arrest and sheriff’s deputies have been searching for since that time.

This evening, sheriff’s deputies received information from a patron at the Rivers Casino that recognized Goodwine from the Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office “Most Wanted” website. The tipster gave detailed information including a clothing description of what Goodwine was wearing, along with her acquaintances and the video gambling device she was playing. Sheriff’s deputies contacted the Pennsylvania State Police working at the casino and relayed this information. On-duty troopers were able to locate Goodwine through video surveillance until deputies arrived on scene. Sheriff’s deputies along with members of the Pennsylvania State Police then apprehended Goodwine. Thanks to the assistance of State Police, Goodwine was apprehended without incident.  She was then transported to the Allegheny County Jail, where she will be held without bond.
