PITTSBURGH, PA - Sheriff William P. Mullen announces the arrest of Matthew Paul Clark, 20 years old, from Munhall. Clark was wanted for violating the conditions of his probation/parole. The original charges are for Arson, Causing Catastrophe and Criminal Mischief to which Clark pled guilty. This incident occurred on October 18, 2009 in Munhall. According to the criminal complaint, Clark along with another volunteer fireman wanted “to go on a fire call, so they lit the garage on fire with gasoline from his father’s garage and a flare they took from the fire station”. On October 24, 2001 a bench warrant was issued for Clark for failing to report to his probation/parole officer and it was uncertain as to where he was living. He was then placed on the Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office “Most Wanted” website.

This evening, sheriff’s deputies developed information that Clark was now residing in Whitaker Borough. Deputies began a search of the area and were able to obtain a clothing description of what Clark was wearing. Deputies continued their search in that general area and at approximately 10:00 this evening observed Clark walking near the intersection of Whitaker Way and Schwab Avenue. Clark was then apprehended without incident. He was then transported to the Allegheny County Jail where he is being held without bond.
