PITTSBURGH, PA - Sheriff William P. Mullen announces the apprehension of James Robert Wright, 25 years old, from Carnegie. Wright was wanted for violating the conditions of his probation/parole on the charge of Indecent Assault Forcible Compulsion. In November 2007, Wright was charged in that assault and later pled guilty.  He served approximately fifteen months in jail and was then paroled. On December 13, 2011, a bench warrant was issued for his arrest and deputies have been looking for him since that time.

This evening, deputies received information from Wright’s probation/parole officer that he was possibly now staying at a family member’s apartment in McKeesport. Deputies were directed to an apartment building located in the 600 block of Shaw Avenue. Deputies were able to locate the vehicle that they were told Wright was using.  Deputies then saw Wright and the owner of the vehicle exit the apartment building and enter the vehicle.  Once Wright was in this car it was immediately stopped by deputies and he was arrested without incident. Wright will now be lodged in the Allegheny County Jail, where he will be held without bond.
