PITTSBURGH, PA - Sheriff William P. Mullen announces the apprehension of Juan Lorin Murray, 26 years old, from Turtle Creek.  Murray was wanted on the charges of Criminal Attempt - Homicide, Aggravated Assault, Terroristic Threats, Recklessly Endangering Another Person and Criminal Conspiracy.  These charges stem from an incident that occurred at a party in Monroeville on January 23, 2010.  Monroeville Police charged Murray along with John Reed, 29 years old, from Wilmerding with this crime.  The victim told police that he was stabbed four times in the neck, back and leg over a two hundred dollar debt.  Reed was arrested a few days after the crime and is currently serving a sentence in S.C.I. Greene.  Murray has been avoiding apprehension since then and deputies believe he had just recently returned to this area.

This evening, sheriff’s deputies received information from the Beaver County Sheriff’s Office that Murray was hiding out at a residence along with an aunt who was from their area.  This residence is located on Mount Oliver Street in Southside neighborhood of Pittsburgh.  Deputies immediately went to this location and set up a perimeter of the residence.  As deputies were approaching the residence, one of the occupants exited the front door and deputies immediately entered the front door.  Once inside, deputies immediately encountered Murray and he was apprehended without incident.  Murray was then taken to the Allegheny County Jail, where he will be held without bond.
