SHERIFF'S OFFICE APPREHEND ACCUSED
REPEAT MEGAN'S LAW VIOLATOR

PITTSBURGH, PA - Sheriff William P. Mullen announces the apprehension Daniel Patrick Eagleson, 43 years old, formerly from the Beltzhoover section of Pittsburgh.

On April 5, 2016, Pittsburgh Police charged Eagleson with failure to comply with registration of sexual offenders requirements.  This is the third time in less than a year that Eagleson has been charged with this crime.

In August of 2015, Eagleson was convicted of one of these offenses.  The charges for the second offense were withdrawn in October of 2015.

On April 15, 2016, a bench warrant was issued for his arrest for violation of probation/parole on the earlier conviction. Sheriff’s deputies have been looking for him since that time.

This afternoon, deputies learned that Eagleson was possibly staying at a residence located in the 5000 block of Dearborn Street in the Garfield section of Pittsburgh.  While watching this house deputies observed Eagleson walking on North Winebiddle Street towards the residence.

Eagleson was immediately apprehended without incident and transported to the Allegheny County Jail.  He will be arraigned sometime in the morning on the new offense and will be held without bond on the probation/parole violation.
