PITTSBURGH, PA - Chantal Snowden, 35, of Wilkinsburg, was apprehended by deputy sheriffs yesterday evening in North Braddock, PA.  One of Allegheny County’s Most Wanted Fugitives, Snowden was sought on four bench warrants issued June 1, 2015, for violating her probation on Aggravated Assault, Simple Assault, Assault By Prisoner and Burglary charges.

The indictments stem from multiple incidents when authorities were contacted in response to Snowden’s violent behavior.  In 2011, Snowden was charged after physically attacking and threatening to shoot several of her family members on the Christmas holiday.  In February 2012, Snowden was charged after she became aggressive with her cellmate at the Allegheny County Jail, smacking the victim on the side of her face, before shoving and choking the individual. Most recently, police were called after an altercation broke out when an intoxicated Snowden attempted to take her children from the custody of their legal guardian.  During the incident, medics were summoned to attend to injuries sustained by one of Snowden’s children, who alleged her mother bit and injured her in the altercation.  Although Snowden denied biting her daughter, she later admitted to “whooping” her.

At approximately 8:10 p.m. yesterday, Sheriff’s deputies reported to a residence located along the 1300th block of Kirkpatrick Avenue in North Braddock, PA to search for the actor.  Deputies knocked on the door of the home and announced themselves multiple times.  From the front door window, deputies observed a male individual present inside the residence.  He refused to answer the door, yelling to other individuals who were also inside the home at the time.  Deputies subsequently made forced entry to the residence, searched the premises and located Snowden, who was on the second floor of the home, hiding underneath a bed. She was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Allegheny County Jail.
