SHERIFF'S DEPUTIES APPREHEND "MOST WANTED" SEX OFFENDER
& THREE OTHER FUGITIVES DURING MANHUNT

PITTSBURGH, PA - Sheriff William P. Mullen announces the apprehension of Jonathan Martinelli, 26 years old, formerly from Collier Township. Martinelli has been wanted on a criminal bench warrant since Monday, November 28, 2016, regarding a violation of probation/parole.

The original charges of statutory sexual assault 8-11 years older, indecent assault person unconscious and corruption of minors stem from an incident involving a child he met on Facebook, while he was 23 and the victim was 14 years old. The two met up a few days later when the sexual assault occurred. As part of the sentencing, Martinelli was placed in a treatment center. However, Martinelli left the treatment center without permission, violating his probation/parole and a warrant was issued Monday.

Due to the nature of these charges Martinelli was placed on the “Most Wanted” list and sheriff’s deputies immediately began searching for him in various locations inside and outside Allegheny County. During the course of the investigation, deputies developed information that Martinelli was avoiding authorities and hiding at a residence in the 400 block of Ormsby Avenue in Mt. Oliver. When deputies arrived and made contact with the residents they found out that Martinelli was not at the address, but had been there the evening before. Although Martinelli was not at the address, deputies found three female fugitives, all wanted on probation/parole violations. Kara Anderson, 34 years old, from Mt. Oliver was wanted for the charge of theft by unlawful taking-movable property. Ashley Queen, 32 years old, from Bethel Park wanted for the charges of retail theft and driving with a suspended license. Samantha Jo Bollinger, 28 years old, from New Kensington wanted for simple assault. All three women were transported and lodged at the Allegheny County Jail.

Later this morning, deputies developed new information that Martinelli had been seen roaming the South Side Works near the center of the complex. Deputies went to this area and apprehended Martinelli without incident. He also was taken to the Allegheny County Jail where he will await a probation/parole violation hearing. In addition, deputies have charged Martinelli with failure to register as a sexual offender (Megan’s Law) due to non-compliance of address registration.
