On Monday, sheriff’s deputies were contacted by both of Robinson’s parents asking for help locating their missing daughter. They believed they had obtained information that Robinson was somewhere in the Chicago, Illinois area. Deputies were able to develop a more precise location to Robinson’s whereabouts with the help of a person who had recently seen her.
Deputies then contacted the Chicago Police and enlisted their assistance in locating Robinson. Chicago Police made contact with the witness but were unable to locate Robinson on both Monday and Tuesday.
Robinson’s family members travelled to Chicago this morning and sheriff’s deputies put them in contact with the officers searching for Robinson in Chicago. Within one hour of their arrival, Robinson was located by police and reunited with family members.
Chicago Police interviewed Robinson and determined that there was no foul play and that she had just run away from home. Police have determined several places that Robinson had been staying in since arriving in Chicago. Robinson had led these people to believe she was over 18 years old.
