NY FUGITIVE CON ARTIST ARRESTED IN PITTSBURGH

PITTSBURGH, PA - Sheriff William P. Mullen announces the apprehension of Todd Calton, 55, of Painted Post, New York. Calton has been wanted by the New York State Police since 2015, for an indictment of Scheme to Defraud in the 1st Degree and Grand Larceny (2 counts).

At approximately 8:00 a.m. this morning, members of the Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Squad received information Calton was potentially staying at a residence along Wenzell Avenue in the Beechview Section of Pittsburgh.  It was also reported that Calton was working for a local contractor, using the fake alias of Jack Carpenter. Detectives developed information that Calton was working at a job site along Fayette Avenue in Oakdale Borough and this morning went to the location, where they arrested the actor without incident.

When Detectives questioned Calton’s co-workers about his name, all persons on the site identified the actor as Jack Carpenter. Calton was transported to the Allegheny County Jail and will be held as a Fugitive from Justice until he is extradited back to the State of New York.
