SHERIFF'S DEPUTY ASSISTS IN APPREHENSION
OF PASSENGER FROM STOLEN VEHICLE

PITTSBURGH, PA - Sheriff’s Deputies were alerted by police radio about a stolen silver Honda Accord that was spotted in the area of West Carson and Corliss Street.

Around 1:15PM, Deputies noticed a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed in the South Side neighborhood near PJ McCardle Roadway, which matched the description provided by dispatch. Soon thereafter another deputy located the vehicle heading east near the 3300 block of East Carson Street. A pursuit began and ended shortly afterward in the Lincoln Place neighborhood.  

Minutes after the Deputy ended their pursuit of the vehicle, Deputies were notified that West Homestead Police spotted the vehicle wrecked near Laurel Hill Drive and W Run Road and were involved in a foot pursuit. West Homestead PD were able to take two individuals into custody, but the third had fled. A Sheriff’s Deputy spotted the third suspect and began a foot pursuit.  The third suspect, a juvenile passenger, was apprehended by the Sheriff’s Deputy after the pursuit.
