Aaron Sedlitsky began working at the Sheriff’s Office in 2015 as the System Administrator in the Sheriff’s Office Administration division. Aaron is responsible for keeping the office electronically operational and supporting the day-to-day processes of the Sheriff’s Office computer networks/systems.
As the Sheriff’s Office System Administrator, Aaron is responsible for maintaining computer networks and solving any problems that may occur with them. Aaron’s typical duties include: installing and monitoring computer networks and systems, supporting products or applications, VPN connections, routers and other physical hardware, installing and configuring network equipment, updating virus protection software to keep data and communications protected, providing remote desktop setup and support, communicating networking issues to employees and management, resolving software and hardware issues, performing system backups and general technical support to employees. Aaron also serves as the Sheriff’s Office liaison to Allegheny County’s Division of Computer Services and works closely with the Courts to keep our office network secure and operational.
Prior to Aaron’s role with the Sheriff’s Office, Aaron worked for Highmark as an IT Infrastructure Analyst/Windows Server Administrator, EDI Operations Analyst and Computer Operator/Help Desk Analyst. Aaron graduated from IUP and ITT Technical Institute and has also earned many information technology related certifications including CompTIA Network+ and CompTIA A+.
In Aaron’s spare time, he operates a small business for residential and commercial clients with various computer and networking needs. Aaron is affiliated with Pittsburgh Technical Council.
