WILLIAM 'BILL' STOCKEY

1998 – Present

William “Bill” Stockey serves as a legal consultant for the Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office and has worked with the Sheriff’s Office since 1998. As Special Counsel, Bill works with the Sheriff’s office in processing monthly Sheriff Sales as well as issues relating to service of process, levy/executions and civil procedural matters. 

Bill was a law clerk to U.S. Chief Judge Rabe F. Marsh and early in his career worked as a Criminal Law and Procedures Instructor at the Pennsylvania Police Academy. A member of the Allegheny County Board of Arbitration, Bill has also received the respect of his peers through his appointment to the Fee Dispute Board of the Allegheny County Bar Association. He is an active member of the Allegheny County Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association and Pennsylvania Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. 

Bill received his Bachelor of Science Finance Degree and Juris Doctorate of Law from Pittsburgh’s Duquesne University.
