Sheriff’s Warrant Office operates 24/7, and mission is to be proficient, Accurate, display safeguard to security and confidentiality, support its responsibility to protect the citizen’s rights to privacy, and protect the criminal justice community with valuable date and resources.
Commonwealth Law Enforcement Assistance Network (CLEAN) and the National Crime Information Center (NCIC). A statewide computerized telecommunications system for the Law Enforcement and criminal justice community in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Information entered by any agency for wanted, missing, stolen files such as: Article files, Vehicle file (driver’s license, vehicle plates), Vehicle parts, Boats, Aircraft, Guns, Securities, Unidentified Person, Wanted, Missing, Criminal history, Foreign Fugitive, Deported Felon, Violent Gang, Terrorist Organization, and PFA. These files are provided and administered by the Pennsylvania State Police.
Sheriff’s Warrant Office is the Repository for criminal bench warrants that are issued by the Common Pleas Courts of Allegheny County, Criminal Division, These warrants can be viewed and or executed by any authorized Law Enforcement/ Criminal Justice that has access to the National Crime Information System & The Commonwealth Law Enforcement Assisting Network (NCIC/CLEAN), that has an ORI number.
Any Law Enforcement/ Criminal Justice that has apprehended a wanted individual on Common Pleas Courts of Allegheny County, Criminal Division warrant must send a hit confirmation to our department via NCIC/CLEAN, before contact by phone.
Warrant Office is the Repository for ICC warrants in Allegheny County.
ICC warrants are issued when an actor has violated a PFA order. Be advised that these orders are issued out of the Domestic Relation Unit of Family Division, PMC or MDJ and not the Sheriff’s Office.
This system is permitted only for official law enforcement and criminal justice purposes and any information received from this system cannot be disseminated beyond law enforcement and criminal information contained on this system is confidential and is protected by written agreement with the Pennsylvania State Police and statutory provisions that each user must be trained and certificated every two years to operate NCIC / CLEAN.
The Warrant Office responsibility is to protect all citizens’ rights to privacy and protect the Law Enforcement and criminal justice community by providing reliable data and resources and will not provide any information to the public.

Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement agencies with an ORI are required to access criminal history records information by utilizing the proper channels through the State of Pennsylvania CLEAN and NELTS system.
